I'll agree with the burnout 3 call- Revenge was really dark half the time, had difficult controlling, and was too realistic. Part of what made the first three so great was that you could flick the D-pad and your car would pull right over, even at 150 mph. Now it's lifelike, and as a result it steers like a train and became virtually unplayable. I haven't played Paradise but I've heard fairly good things; I'll check it out. Pretty sweet interview.
